The Lee C. & Patricia Culler Boarding, Grooming and Travel Center is the latest addition to the Halifax Humane Society. This pet-centric travel center is the only one of its kind in the nation owned and operated by a non-profit shelter with all proceeds going back to the care and humane treatment of our shelter animals.
As a nationally recognized leader in animal welfare, the creation of this center was a natural extension of our expertise in the care and attention towards animals. Offering boarding and grooming as services not only benefits our clients and their pets, but the subsequent profits are used to benefit animals in need. We are dedicated to providing our pet clients with the quality care and attention they deserve, whether they are at our boutique facility for day care, an extended stay for boarding, or to enjoy a spa-quality grooming experience.
Our travel center is another aspect of our focused care for animals. Not only does it offer pet supplies and information on pet-friendly hotels, residences, parks and beaches, but it also features a beautiful 3-acre dog park, complete with agility courses, walking paths, shaded areas and water stations for the health and happiness of the pups.

Day Care & Boarding Facility
Our boutique style facility allows us to spend more quality time with your pet and give them the love and attention they deserve. 14 large dog and 4 small dog kennels are available for daily or extended stay boarding. There is a cat room offering 16 cat condos that can adjust in size depending on availability. Other animals are also welcome, including birds, reptiles, hamsters, and more. Please inquire directly if your pet(s) may have special needs that we can accommodate.
Grooming Salon
Our grooming salon offers services such as bathing, haircuts, nail trims and more. The best part is that all proceeds go to HHS to help care for the shelter animals! Our grooming salon is a full-service grooming facility for your pets and uses only the best care products for your pet provided by PetCaress.
Travel Rest Area & Dog Park
Our travel center is a place to relax and recharge for people and their pups. It has a beautiful outdoor lounge area, public restrooms, vending machines and
tourist information about pet friendly hotels, restaurants, parks and beaches. Behind the center is a lush, 3-acre dog park complete with an agility course, walking paths, fenced in play area for large and small dogs, as well as shaded areas and water stations for the comfort of your pup.
Located 0.3 miles from I-95 at the LPGA Blvd. exit, this travel center lets you and your pet take advantage of amenities not found at other rest stops. The public dog park is a totally fenced in area so you can let your dog off leash to stretch their legs while you relax under the shade of our umbrellas.
